Dear Boston & Randolph siblings,
USW Local 8751 will hold elections for all Union Executive Board positions on April 29, 2021. For safety during the pandemic, the elections will be held by mail-in ballot with the option to vote in-person April 29th in all 4 bus yards between the hours of 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM by bringing your mailed ballot to the yard poll. All Local 8751 members “in good standing” are eligible to vote. The Union will utilize member Tellers and an optical scanner system (the same as now used in all City of Boston precincts), operated by LHS Associates, a company that specializes in Union elections, to ensure efficiency, fairness and accuracy of the count. Nominations for all positions must be in writing to a yard Teller before the Nominations Meeting on March 25th.
Executive Board positions on the ballot for election will be: Boston – President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, 3 Trustees, 2 Guards, and Guide. Boston members will also elect 3 Grievance Committee positions and 3 members of the Accident Review Committee (ARC). Randolph – All Executive Board positions above plus Unit Chair, Unit Secretary and 2 Unit Grievers.
